Judge Voids PA Town's Anti-Immigrant Efforts

Hopefully the politicians in Prince William and Loudon Counties read their morning papers today.

A federal judge yesterday struck down a Pennsylvania town's ordinances banning illegal immigrants from working or renting homes there -- a move the New York Times called "the most resounding legal blow so far to local efforts across the country to crack down on illegal immigration." (See the Washington Post, AP for more.)

Washington has dropped the ball on immigration reform, and real changes are needed. But looking Latino is not probable cause. So unless the localities are going to start asking everyone for their passport at every turn...
