Radiohead's new album, "In Rainbows," dropped early this morning in the band's experiment with DRM-free, digital-only distribution for whatever a fan is willing to pay.
Of course, "DRM-free" also means "super-easy to share." Yet a 10 a.m. search on Torrentz.com found nary a torrent for "In Rainbows."
That's a pleasant surprise. But is this a case of respect for the band and its attempt to blow up the traditional music-label model? Or just that most torrenters tend to sleep in?

UPDATE: Within 24 hours, there were reports that Radiohead views this digital-download experiment simply as marketing for a traditional CD to be released in a few months. So much for disruptive innovation -- and yes, for the torrent moratorium.
